Manual mold design silicone rubber

1、Introduce Manual mold design silicone rubber is two components rtv liquid silicone which is dedicated to manual mold design. The silicone rubber mold with resistance to deformation, linear shrinkage and high temperature, which is mainly applicable to manual molds and a small quantity of product duplication. 2、Features ①Simple to operate, fast duplication, can be used repeatedly. ②Resistance high temperature, resist 250℃. ③Good flexibility, resistance to deformation, low shrinkage to less than 0.1%. 3、Application manual mold silicone rubber is mainly applicable to manual mold design, such as PVC plastic molds, model mold making, cement product molds, low melting point alloy molds, alloy toy craftworks, plastic toys, gift and stationery, large statues, duplication of cultural relics, shoe sole mold fabrication, pad printing positioning, shock resistance for electronic equipment, etc. 4、Technical data Item No. Color Hardness Shore A Viscosity (Mpa.s) Tear strength(KN/m) Tensile streng

How to avoid deformation of silicone rubber mold

Many customers find that silicone mold transformation when they use silicone rubber to make silicone molds. Silicone rubber with low hardness has the characteristic of ease of deformation. How to avoid the silicone molds transformation? Let’s analyze it in five aspects as below:  1. Put it into production before it does not cure completely. Although the silicone mold can be demold a few hours after casting mold. The silicone mold cures completely take less than 24 hours. If time permits, experienced people usually de-mold the mold and put it into production 24 hours after casting molds. 2. The quality of the silicone rubber is poor, or the shrinkage is too high or the filler is too many. The shrinkage of high-grade silicone rubber is about 0.1%, the shrinkage of ordinary silicone rubber is about 0.3%. The shrinkage of poor silicone rubber is higher. 3. The lining shell of silicone rubber does not accurate. 4. Do not put the soft silicone mold into the hard lining shell to save time aft

What is the maximum hardness of liquid silicone rubber

Different products may need different hardness of silicone. Common silicone’s hardness is suitable for most products, but there are some industries that need high hardness silicone. So what is the maximum hardness of the silicone? When the hardness is over 50 shore A, it can be called high hardness silicone. When the hardness is more than 50 shore A, the tear strength of silicone would be weakened, the silicone products would become crisp and easy to be broken off. Most high hardness silicone is used for leather printing, plant gum, rubber roll, trademark, nursing bottle and so on. The maximum hardness of silicone is 65 shore A, for higher hardness, you need to add a hardening agent yourself.

The Lowest Hardness of Liquid Silicone Rubber

The liquid silicone was divided into two types: addition silicone and condensation silicone. Addition silicone is used for manufacturing insoles, shoulder pads, plackets, padding and other flexible silicone products. Condensation silicone is used for making soap, candles, etc. Usually less than 10 shore A hardness is called low hardness soft silicone, it is soft and easy to de-mold, and for addition silicone, the lowest hardness is 00-30 shore A, for condensation silicone is about 5 shore A.

How appropriate is the ratio of tin-cured silicone and hardener

RTV-2 liquid silicone curing by silicone mix with a catalyst according to the ratio. and the quantity of catalyst will affect pot lifetime, curing time and hardness after curing. Then what will happen when silicone mix with different ratio catalysts? In general, curing time will be short with high temperatures. so should add catalyst according to the temperature. if add too much catalyst, the silicone molds will become hard and brittle. conversely, if add too little catalyst, pot lifetime will be longer than before. But when pouring molds, must add a little catalyst, so that can make perfect molds according to long curing time. The ratio of silicone and catalyst at room temperature is as below: 1. with 1% catalyst, the silicone also is liquid when mixed after 2.5hrs, de-mold time about 6-8 hrs. 2. with 2% catalyst, the silicone also is liquid when mixed after 50-60mins, de-mold time about 2-3 hrs. 3. with 3% catalyst, the silicone also is liquid when mixed after 10-15mins, de-mold tim

How to judge the quality of RTV liquid silicone

The quality of RTV liquid silicone rubber raw materials will affect the quality of silicone molds and their applications. The determinants of the quality of silicone are viscosity, hardness, tear strength and tensile strength. Let me share with you some tips for judging the quality of liquid silicone.  Viscosity: The liquidity of silicone rubber is determined by viscosity. Let liquid silicone rubber vertical natural flow down when testing it. The faster the flow, the better the fluidity of the silicone. Please note, viscosity is proportional to tear strength. Do not use low viscosity silicone to pursue liquidity, which will lead to silicone molds with low tear strength to reduce reproduction. Some factories add much silicone oil to increase liquidity, which also deterioration in tear strength. Hardness: Hardness is one of the important technical indicators that reflect silicone material rigidity. If the hardness of the silicone is below shore A 10, the silicone products have low tear s
