5、how to make molds

The way of making molds: have two ways to make molds, pouring and brushing.

Because Pouring molds need a large quantity of silicone rubber, can use cheap silicone rubber that the quality is not good. the hardness of silicone is about 30-40 shore A just ok.

But Brushing molds should use good quality and fast curing silicone rubber. Hardness about 20-25 shore A, ratio about 2%-5%, pot lifetime about 10 mins. Don’t forget to make gypsum molds outside of silicone molds.

④Pour the mixture into the model frame, heating to 60℃ for about 2-3 hours, after cooling and cured then take out it, and if heating to 120℃ then only need about 10 min then finish.

7、Note

1. Please add the catalyst according to temperature. can decrease the quantity at high temperatures. also please note that the silicone molds will become harder and brittle if add too many catalysts. but the pot life will be longer than before if add less catalyst.

2. Suggest don’t add silicone oil, to prevent the property changes of silicone molds.

3. Please use the silicone molds after 24hrs.
